Upcoming Darlington Licensing Hearing

CNSC (the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) will be holding a licensing hearing from June 24 – 26, 2025.

OPG (Ontario Power Generation) is requesting from the CNSC a 30-year licence for the gigantic nuclear complex located at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station in Durham Region, 60 kilometres east of Toronto.

Yes. You heard that correctly. A 30-year licence.
